RK Weatherproof Groove Seals are made out of environmentally friendly TPE rubber and they are easy to install by pressing the installation arrow to the groove. Weatherstrips made out of TPE rubber are more expensive than the traditional EPDM seals but on the other hand the material will last up to 15 years, depending on their use.
Groove seals are O-profile seals with different profiles for windows and doors. They're extremely flexible and can be used for 3-8 mm gaps, which means they will work with most gaps. You can choose between the Groove Seal Window for 3-6 mm gaps and Groove Seal Door for 3-8 mm gaps. The biggest difference between the two is that the diameter of the window seal is 8 mm with the arrow at the centre of the seal while the diameter of the door seal is 10 mm and the arrow is located at the side of the seal.
RK Weatherproof Groove Seals are made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). TPE is high quality, environmentally friendly and completely recyclable. The seal is waterproof and can be washed. It endures the harshest weather conditions from -50 degrees celsius to +130 degrees celcius. TPE Groove Seals last up to 15 years. They have a high resistance to chemicals but not to solvents such as white spirit or oils. You can clean the seals with water and/or soapy water.
Before installation, make sure that the new seal fits to the groove and compare it to the measurements of the old seal. Remove the old seal and clean the track before installation. Depending on your door or window it may be that the window seal fits better with your door and the door seal with your window but generally we recommend using the window seal to the window and door seal to the door.
